The party responsible for this website is VAPIANO SE, Kurt-Schumacher-Strasse 22, D-53113 Bonn, contactable via info(at)vapiano.eu.
Protecting your privacy is very important to us. Our internet presence is therefore designed in principle such that it can be used anonymously. We use information which we receive and save when you visit our websites solely for internal purposes, and to improve the design of the websites. Where necessary to avert attacks which would negatively affect the functionality of our internet presence (hacker attacks, trojans, denial-of-service attacks, spam), we have access to your computer's IP address for this purpose only and as a single instance, and our telecommunication service provider will save this information for seven days for security reasons as defined by § 100 clause 1 of the German Telecommunications Act (TKG). However, the final octet of the IP address is generally anonymous.

· the date and time of the request,
· the volume of data transferred,
· the access status (file transferred, file not found),
· the description of the type of web browser used,
· the IP address of the requesting computer (so-called Access Logs), shortened by the last three characters.

· the host name of the mail server and which VAPIANO IP address the e-mail was sent to,
· the time of the connection, sending and transfer.
When you receive an e-mail which we have sent to you, the host name and IP address of the sender system are recorded.
When the e-mail is accessed, the IP address that accessed it is recorded.

7. Location request
The first time you visit our website, you have the option of telling us your current location. If you agree to this request, we will use your location to show you the nearest VAPIANO restaurant so that you can save time looking. The IP address is obtained once you have given your consent.
You can withdraw your consent for your data to be processed at any time. Your deactivation options depend on your browser. For example, you can switch off your location indicator in your browser via the information icon to the left of the URL address. Details about deactivation in a Firefox browser can be found here. 9. Online application
We process your details in accordance with legal data protection provisions, in particular the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
You yourself define the scope of data you wish to forward to us in the context of your online application. Online applications are forwarded electronically to our HR department where they are processed as quickly as possible. Generally speaking, applications are forwarded to the head of the relevant specialist departments within our company. Your details are not passed on in any other way. Your details are treated in confidence within our company.
We process any details which you provide to us in the context of your online application only for the purpose of selecting applicants. Your data will not be processed for any other purpose. Documents will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required, and there is no legal statutory term of retention. If you agree to us retaining your application for different or future vacancies, we ask that you indicate this on your application.
11. Google Analytics
To design our website according to needs, we create pseudonymous user profiles using Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses so-called 'cookies', or text files, which are saved on your computer and which allow analysis of your use of the website. Information generated by the cookie regarding your use of this website is generally forwarded to a Google server in the USA and saved there. Because we have activated IP anonymisation on this website, Google will first shorten your IP address within member states of the European Union or in other Contracting States to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA, and only abbreviated there. Google will use this information to analyse your usage of the website in order to compile reports regarding website activities, and to provide us with further services in relation to website usage and internet usage. We use Google Analytics e.g. to analyse clicks from Google AdWords for purely statistical purposes. For information regarding the use of data by Google, see
You can top pseudonym user profiles from being created at any time. There are various ways of doing this:
1.) Depending on the browser you use, you can install a browser plug-in to prevent tracking. To do this, please click here and install the browser plug-in that you will see for download there.
2) You can also stop the cookies used to build your profile from being saved via the right setting in your browser software.
3.) Another option for stopping web analysis by Google Analytics is by inserting an opt-out cookie which instructs Google not to use your data for the purposes of web analysis. Please note that if you use this solution, web analysis will be halted only for so long as the browser saves the opt-out cookie. To install the opt-out cookie now, click here.
12. Social buttons
We place various social buttons on our website in the form of a link: in addition to Facebook buttons for Facebook Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA and Twitter buttons for Twitter Inc., 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA, we also maintain Instagram buttons for Instagram, LLC ATTN, 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA.
When you visit our website, no data is forwarded to these social media services at that stage. Third parties are therefore unable to create a profile. However, we do not want to deny these opportunities to those users who wish to use social buttons. We therefore offer the chance to use social buttons at various points on our website. You therefore have the opportunity to use the social buttons to access our social media presence e.g. to share articles with other people. Please note that by clicking on a social button, certain details may be forwarded to the social media service, for example
· the VAPIANO website where you found the social button,
· the date and time of clicking on the social button,
· information about the browser and operating system used
· your current IP address.
If you are already logged into the social media service when you click on the social button, the social media service may also use this data to identify your user name and possibly even your real name. The social media service may also process these details in countries outside the European Union. We have no control over the extent, nature and purpose of such data processing by the social media service. Please note that the social media service is perfectly capable of using this data to create pseudonymised and even individualised user profiles.
You can find further information about data protection regarding Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/policy.php, regarding Twitter at https://twitter.com/privacy?lang=de and regarding Instagram at https://help.instagram.com/155833707900388
To protect your data against unwanted access, we use encryption on certain of our sites. Your details will then be passed between your computer and our server and vice versa via the internet using 128 Bit TLS encryption (Transport Layer Security). You will recognise this because the lock symbol on your browser status list will show as locked, and the address line will start with . We will not use encryption if you exchange only generally available information with us.
14. Your rights as a user
As a user, you are entitled, at no cost, to request details regarding what data we hold about you, and why we are saving this data, unless such notification is improper. You may withdraw your consent at any time. You may also request that data be rectified if it is incorrect or that it be deleted on request if it no longer needs to be saved, unless there are legal reasons for retaining said details.
