VAPIANO extends its pasta selection with zoodles

Cologne, March 2018 - If you're looking for an alternative to penne, spelt fusilli, tagliatelle and the like, you're in luck at VAPIANO! The lifestyle brand is committing itself to the popular 'zoodles' food trend, and expanding its menu with a delicious alternative to pasta. With the permanent introduction of zucchini spaghetti in all its German restaurants, VAPIANO comes a step closer to its guests and their constantly increasing awareness of a balanced diet. From mid-April to mid-June, the restaurant chain is also introducing a special "Do it Vegetalian" period - with creative dishes to suit the start of Spring and Summer. For a surcharge of €1.50, zoodles can be ordered on their own or combined with these and with any other VAPIANO pasta recipe.
Green as grass, crunchy and fresh, and suitable for many diets: zoodles - a made-up word that is a combination of zucchini and noodles - have been a fixed feature on the menu in all VAPIANO restaurants throughout the whole of Germany since mid-February.
"As well as seven pasta variations, two spelt pasta types, gluten-free and kids' pasta, we can now offer our guests zoodles as a permanent option," says Jochen Halfsmann, CEO of VAPIANO SE. "Following the popularity of zucchini spaghetti with guests as a special dish last Summer, we are delighted to offer these additional variants for vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and lactose-free diets. Zoodles are a perfect fit with the trend towards a more conscious lifestyle and diet, which is important to many VAPIANO guests."
As an alternative to traditional pasta, zoodles can now be ordered for a €1.50 surcharge. They are also available in combination with other pasta varieties or as a double portion - each at €2 on top of the normal price.

Five times a year, VAPIANO offers its guests new, varied dishes from a special menu that reflects the latest food trends. As well as zoodles, under the tagline "Do it Vegetalian" running from mid-April to mid-June, there are many more new recipes to discover.
